BRE Refund Policy
All ticket sales are final unless you bought flexible tickets or BRE cancels, postpones or significantly changes your event. This policy covers every ticket, package and add-on sold by Burlington Riverfront Entertainment, Inc. ("BRE"), online, by phone or at the box office.
1. Standard tickets
Standard tickets are non-refundable, including duplicate orders and tickets bought for the wrong date. Where an event allows it, you can exchange your tickets (see section 7).
2. Flexible tickets
Flexible tickets are an option you choose at checkout for an added charge. The box starts unchecked, and flexibility cannot be added to an order afterward.
- You can hand back any or all of the tickets on your order until 48 hours before the event's scheduled start time.
- You receive credit for each ticket's face value and facility fee, loaded onto a BRE gift card. If you chose to cover card processing costs, that amount is added to your credit too.
- Credit never expires, carries no fees, and can be spent on tickets and at BRE venues. It cannot be redeemed for cash.
- The flexible-ticket charge, the convenience fee and any delivery fee are not returned.
- You do not need to give a reason.
Flexible tickets are not insurance. They are BRE's own option to make your purchase changeable, paid out in BRE credit.
3. If BRE cancels an event
We refund your full purchase price automatically, including every fee and any flexible-ticket charge, to the payment method you used. You do not need to do anything. We start refunds within 7 days of the cancellation; your bank may take another 5–10 business days to post it.
4. If an event is postponed or significantly changed
If we move an event to a new date, change its venue, or its headliner no longer appears, your tickets are valid for the rescheduled event. If you would rather not attend, you can request a full refund within 7 days of our announcement. After that, your tickets carry over to the new event.
Changes to opening acts, set times or seating layouts do not qualify for a refund.
5. Weather
Events take place rain or shine, and we do not give refunds for weather. If BRE cancels an event entirely, section 3 applies.
6. Fees
| Charge | Refunded? |
|---|---|
| Facility fee | No, except when BRE cancels, postpones or significantly changes the event |
| Convenience fee | No, except when BRE cancels, postpones or significantly changes the event |
| Exchange fee | No |
| Delivery fee | No, except when BRE cancels, postpones or significantly changes the event |
| Card processing costs you chose to cover | Yes, with any refund of your order |
| Flexible-ticket charge | Only when BRE cancels, postpones or significantly changes the event |
7. Exchanges
Where an event allows exchanges, you can switch to another performance or seats under that event's exchange terms. Exchange fees are non-refundable.
8. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back the way you paid:
- Card payments go back to the card.
- Gift card payments go back to the gift card.
- Cash paid at the box office is refunded in cash.
- Checks are refunded by mailed check.
Rewards points you spent on the order are restored. Points you earned on the order are removed.
9. Donating your tickets
Instead of attending, you can donate the value of your tickets to Burlington Riverfront Entertainment, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your seats go back on sale, and you receive a receipt for a tax-deductible donation stating that no goods or services were provided in exchange.
10. Packages and season tickets
If a performance in your package is canceled, you receive BRE credit for that performance's share of the package price. Package renewals are never charged automatically: we email you an offer with a deadline, and nothing is charged unless you accept it.
11. Who can receive a refund
Refunds and credit go only to the original purchaser. If you transferred tickets to someone else, any refund still comes back to you. The person who received them cannot request one.
12. Lost tickets, denied entry and removal
We reissue lost or stolen tickets instead of refunding them. There is no refund if you are refused entry or removed from an event for violating our Admission & Venue Terms.
13. Disputed charges
If you dispute a ticket charge with your bank, the tickets on that order are suspended and cannot be used for entry while the dispute is open.
